Trakya University in Tirana "Turkey-Albania Joint Research Center"

A meeting was held in Tirana with the participation of Rector Prof. Dr. Erhan Tabakoğlu, Trakya University International Relations Consultant Prof. Dr Hilmi Ibar, Director of the Center for İnternational Relations Office, Trakya University Doç. Dr. Murat Türkyilmaz, Representatives from the Higher Education Authority, Representatives from the Turkish Embassy in Tirana, Representatives from the Ministry of Education, Representatives from Yunus Emre Institute. Also participated Rector of University of Tirane Prof. Dr. Mynyr Koni, Ambassador of Turkey Murat Ahmet Yörük, Chairman of the YTB and Director of the Yunus Emre Institute in Tirana Ömer Osman Demirbaş. From this meeting a bilateral cooperation protocol was signed between the University of Tirana and the Trakya University. After this meet Rector Prof. Dr. Erhan Tabakoğlu and his Delegates participated at the symposium which was held in Elbasan at Aleksander Xhuvani University. They met at this symposium Rector of Aleksander Xhuvani University Prof. Dr Skender Topi and Representatives of ALSAR Foundation. With the support of Yunus Emre Institute, he has been working on the establishment and maintenance of Turcology Department at Elbasan University for two years. After the visit of Elbasan Aleksander Xhuvani University, the delegation met with the leader of the ALSAR Foundation, Mehdi Gurra and the leaders from many Balkan countries, especially Macedonia.
